Curfew has been declared in Tanyeri, Begendi (Gizre), Güvenli and Yeşilöz villages in Mardin's Dargeçit district, and in Yumurtalı, Marenka and Doluca villages in Midyat district.
Following the curfew that went into effect at around 08:00 this morning, Turkish army has started an operation in this region with the participation of a large number of soldiers and village guards.
Access is blocked to the operation area which is bombarded by 4 military helicopters.
