Curfew in Sur to be ceased for 2,5 hours for the retrieval of bodies

Efforts have finally given result to retrieve the bodies of 4 youths from where they were killed as a result of attacks by state forces Amed's central Sur district where a curfew continues for the 41st day.

Families of slain youths have been on hunger strike at IHD office for 11 days to reclaim the bodies of their children. At the same time, HDP officials have also continued their efforts to enable the retrieval of bodies for the ending of the torture suffered by families. Most recently, HDP deputy Sibel Yiğitalp met Deputy Governor of Diyarbakır, Mehmet Demir.

Accordingly, families of İsa Oran, Mesut Seviktek, Ramazan Öğüt and Rozerin Çukur will be allowed to enter Sur and get the bodies of their children between 14.30 – 17.00 today afternoon. Families will be accompanied by a delegation from IHD (Human Rights Association), HDP (Peoples' Democratic Party), DTK (Democratic Society Congress) and MAZLUMDER (Association for Human Rights and Solidarity for the Oppressed).

İsa Oran and Mesut Seviktek were killed by police bullets on 23 December 2015, Ramazan Öğüt (16) on 30 December and Rozerin Çukur (17) on 8 January.
