As wildfires started by the Turkish army rage across Northern Kurdistan, yet another fire has been started by Turkish bombardments in the countryside of Amed’s Kulp district that has been placed under curfew.
The Turkish army launched an operation soon after the declaration of a curfew in the countryside of Yaylak (Eskar) and Ağaçkorur (Beyrok) villages in Amed’s Kulp district. Bombardments of the Turkish troops started a fire in the forest land within the curfew zone, and nearly 30 local people living in this region cannot be reached.
The fire started in the countryside of Eskar village amid bombardments by helicopters and unmanned aerial vehicles is spreading and soldiers are preventing the local people that try to get to the scene to put out the fire before it grows further.
In the meantime, the inhabitants of the Eskar village who live on agriculture and livestock breeding, nearly 30 people, cannot be reached amid the ongoing military operation and curfew. Relatives of the villagers have applied to the district gendarmerie command due to concerns over their safety, but their efforts to reach them remained inconclusive.
