DBP (Party of Democratic Regions, formerly BDP) Amed organization objected to AKP’s war policies and underlined the importance of mobilizing and raising voices massively in order to prevent war.

In his written statement, DBP Amed Provincial Co-President Ali Şimşek called upon civilians to resist and protest against inhumane brutality and massacres, the inhumane isolation of Mr. Abdullah Öcalan, the immoral treatment of YPG, YPJ and HPG fighters’ bodies, recent operations, arrests, destruction of living spaces, attacks, and the war and genocide policies of the state and AKP government.

'LETS SHOW THE STRONGEST REFLEX'

Şimşek noted that AKP initiated the process of polarization and conflict in society in order to continue its power, and underlined the importance of mobilizing and raising voices in order to prevent conflict. Şimşek said that all social groups should raise their voices for the future of their children and country immediately, and invited the people of Amed to show the strongest reflex against war. Şimşek emphasized the importance of mobilizing and raising voices massively in order to prevent war, and invited the people of Amed to make a noise (light flickering, whistles and other non-violent noises etc.) at 20:00 every evening.

Şimşek ended his statement by inviting the people of Amed to frustrate the war efforts of war barons who pit people against one another and darken children’s future.
