Party of Democratic Regions (DBP, formerly BDP) has released a statement reporting that Amed's central Sur district has been blockaded by Turkish security forces, and calling on the people to gather in the district against attacks.

According to the statement by DBP, the Sur district of Amed has been blockaded by special operation police teams as of early morning hours today, mainly in Lalebey and Hasırlı neighborhoods.

DBP said clashes have erupted at many points as security forces attempt to put a great massacre plan into practice.

The party called upon the people of Amed to come to the Sur district to hinder a probable massacre by security forces.
