DBP (Party of Democratic Regions) co-chair Kamuran Yüksek who had been detained in Amed 2 days ago, has been remanded in custody.

Following his detention on the grounds of his press releases, Yüksek remained in custody for days and his testimony to the prosecutor lasted hours.

Accused of “membership to a terrorist organisation”, Yüksek was later referred to a vacation court at 03:00 last night. After 2 hours of proceedings at the court, DBP co-chair was arrested and sent to Diyarbakır D Type Closed Prison.
