DBP co-chair Kamuran Yüksek released

DBP co-chair Kamuran Yüksek has been released during his first hearing at Diyarbakır 5th High Criminal Court today.

Democratic Regions' Party (DBP) co-chair Kamuran Yüksek has been released during his first hearing at Diyarbakır 5th High Criminal Court after spending 5 months in jail.

Yüksek had been detained on May 10 and arrested on the 13rd on alleged charges of “membership to an armed terrorist organisation”. The statements he had made to the press in the main Kurdish city Amed were cited as an evidence within the scope of the investigation launched against him by Diyarbakır Public Prosecutor's Office.
