The Turkish state declared a curfew in a total of 102 villages and hamlets in Amed's Lice, Hani, Kocaköy and Dicle districts on May 28. Despite Diyarbakır Governorate's announcement that the curfew has been removed, the mentioned areas in question are still under a de facto curfew. Locals report gunfight in the curfew zone and artillery attacks in mountainous terrains.
Entry and exit points of the villages in curfew zone are blocked by Turkish soldiers and village guards with armored vehicles and soldiers remain deployed in villages.
