Turkish fighter jets carried out a bombardment on the rural areas of Rêkan and Nerwê villages in Sheladize town of Amadiya district in Southern Kurdistan last night.
According to the reports, the aerial strikes targeted a small group of local people who were on their way home from their vineyards at around 21:00 Tuesday evening.
Out of the seven people targeted in the attack, four lost their lives and the aftermath of the remaining 3 is unknown.
Rojnews agency reported the slain civilians to be brothers Ali Mistafa and Ciger Mistafa, and Sedat Sıtkı. According to Rojnews, the other civilian killed in the attack is a civilian by the name of Hakim from the village of Kerya Dera.
Local people have managed to reach the scene of the bombardment and retrieved the bodies, transporting them to Sheladize town now.
Citing the local people, NRT television reporter for Sheladize stated that bodies of the slain civilians burned completely and were unrecognizable.
The Turkish state’s air strikes on Southern Kurdistan have claimed the lives of 20 civilians since July 24, 2015.
