Death toll rises in ISIS attack in Germiyan
The number of asayish members who lost their lives in the ISIS attack against the checkpoint in Germiyan’s Kuleco village rose to 4. 6 asayish members and 2 civilians were injured in the attack.
ISIS gangs attacked the asayish point in the Kuleco village of Germiyan’s Kokis district at 23:00 last night.
In the attack, 4 asayish members lost their lives and 6 were injured. 2 civilians were also injured.
Germiyan Operations Commander Aso Celal and Asayish member Haydar Fuad lost their lives in the attack.
Clashes broke out when the asayish retaliated. The gangs fled afterwards.
The gangs planted explosives near the checkpoint during the clashes, and they went off as the asayish pursued the fleeing gangs.
2 civilians were injured in the gangs’ mortar fire into the village.
