Democratic Autonomy Administration: It was not us who closed Sêmelka

Rojava Democratic Autonomy Administration stated that it was not them who closed Sêmelka Border Gate, and there was not an agreement signed with the KDP.

Jazira Internal Affairs Council of the Rojava Democratic Autonomy Administration stated that it was not them who closed Sêmelka Border Gate, and the Rojava side of the border gate was already open.

In its statement, the council stated that KDP officials had closed down the border gate when the Rojava-North Syria Democratic Federalism was announced on March 16. The council said that the border was closed in order to blackmail the Rojava Democratic Autonomy Administration, and the people of Rojava under the embargo of the gangs were punished by the KDP. The council noted that they had thought Kurds would act in unity as the historical joint struggle against terror continued.

'NO AGREEMENT SIGNED WITH THE KDP'

Rojava Democratic Autonomy Administration emphasized that the KDP, which has closed the border gate, can reopen it so that civilians can find comfort during the month of Ramadan. The administration stated that it was not them who closed Sêmelka Border Gate, there was not an agreement signed with the KDP, and the administration would never want to see the closure of the border.
