Speaking to ANF, People’s Defense Forces (HPG) front commander Kendal Deniz said the guerrilla displayed a strong resistance in Xakûrkê (Hakurk).

The Turkish state wants to deepen their invasion attacks against the Bradost and Xakûrkê regions. They think if they use all their resources they can achieve results against the guerrilla, but are met with a heroic resistance. 

HPG front commander Kendal Deniz stated that Xakûrkê has a significant place in the Kurdish Freedom Movement, and it has been deliberately targeted for that.

When asked about Turkish President Erdoğan’s threats that they “will go up to Qandil”, Kendal Deniz said, “They can be our guest, let them come,” and stated that the Kurdistan freedom guerrilla never reproached the Turkish state for attacking this place or the other: “Of course the Turkish state will continue to attack. They will want to deepen their invasion of Bashûrê (southern) Kurdistan. As they fail and are defeated against the guerrilla their aggression will increase, but the guerrilla’s resistance will be the end of the AKP/MHP government.”
