Acting Deputy Co-mayor Hüseyin Tunç was removed from office by Deputy Governor Olgun Öner, the trustee appointed after Dersim Co-mayors Mehmet Ali Bul and Nurhayat Altun were arrested. After Deputy mayor İbrahim Kasum was removed from office by a Statutory Decree, the trustee abolished the municipal council. With the trustee now removing Tunç from office, there are no more officials left in the municipality who were elected by the people.

Hüseyin Tunç was elected Deputy Mayor in March 2014 local elections under EMEP as the candidate for Democratic United Forces. Tunç announced he will be holding a press statement at noon today.
