Hundreds of houses in Başak and Barbaros neighborhoods have been torn down since the beginning of the latest curfew. As the demolition in both neighborhoods continue, residents are being forced out of their houses and move to other areas where people on the other hand suffer a lack of basic needs such as supplies and foodstuff.
Residents of Başak and Barbaros neighborhoods have recently moved to their relatives in Dicle, Ofis, Yenişehir and Cumhuriyet neighborhoods. At least 15 people are sharing a house in these areas at the moment.
People in Silopi district, especially those with a chronic disease, are also suffering a lack of medical service with pharmacies remaining closed since the first day of the curfew.
