Dozens of soldiers were killed in actions by HPG and YJA Star guerrillas in response to the ongoing attacks by the Turkish army

HPG (People's Defense Forces) Press Office has released a statement providing details about the ongoing attacks by the Turkish army and the actions by HPG and YJA Star guerrillas in response.

Guerrillas destroyed a base station in Memira village of Siirt's Eruh district at 07:00 on October 6.

One soldier was killed in an action conducted by guerrillas against a Turkish troop heading from Gundikê Melle to Çiyayê Filla area in Şırnak at 17:00 on October 6.

The Turkish army operation in Mêrgezerê, Gelîyê Doskî and Binbir areas of Hakkari's Yüksekova district continues.

FOUR SOLDIERS KILLED IN BAŞKALE

In another action in memory of their recently fallen comrades, guerrillas targeted the Kısımlı guard post in Van's Başkale district at 10:00 on October 6, which left 2 soldiers dead and one other wounded.

Two more soldiers were killed as guerrillas further hit a truck transporting supplies to the post.

DOZENS OF SOLDIERS KILLED IN ACTION AGAINST KANİ SPİ GUARD POST

Guerrillas carried out another action in memory of their comrades martyred in Beytüşşebap, in which they hit the Kani Spi guard post in Van's Başkale district at 18:30 on October 6.

The guard post and one of the two lodge buildings were completely destroyed as an explosive-laden vehicle was detonated here. Guerrillas also opened cross fire with automatic rifles, during which contact was lost with a guerrilla.

Refuting claims by pro-war Turkish media that 7 soldiers and 4 village guards, as well as 4 guerrillas were killed here, HPG said the Turkish army suffered dozens of losses, the exact number of which, however, couldn't be made clear.

HEAVY BLOW INFLICTED ON SOLDIERS JOINING THE OPERATION IN ÇEMÇÊ

HPG said Turkish jets bombarded the Çemçê area of Ağrı between 04:30 and 05:30 on October 3, after which Turkish troops started a land operation in the area.

Guerrillas were engaged in a clash with the soldiers that were airdropped in the areas of Hill Bızık, Hill Livreş, Hill Karargah, Horozkaya and Arçıkdede. Fighting in Hill Bızık area lasted 6 hours.

4 soldiers were killed in clashes with the troops that attacked the area with mortars in addition to bombardments with Cobra helicopters.

Guerrillas infiltrated into the emplacement of soldiers at Tepe Headquarters at 11:30, as a result of which 6 soldiers were killed.

One day later, Turkish forces conducted an intense bombardment on the Çemçê Martyrs' Cemetery at 03:00 at night. While the operation was partially retreated on October 6, disguised units continue the operation at some locations in the area. A total of 10 soldiers were killed here.

BASE STATION DESTROYED

Guerrillas destroyed a base station in Handere village in Sarıkamış district of Kars at 10:00 on October 6, while also destroying some military munitions in a military building in the village.

ÇİÇEKLİ GUARD POST SABOTAGED

Martyr Destan assassination team conducted an action against Çiçekli guard post in Dersim province at 15:55 on October 5, which left one soldier dead.

Dersim-Ovacık and Dersim-Erzincan roads remain under the control of guerrillas since August 17.

BOMBARDMENTS AGAINST GUERRILLA AREAS CONTINUE

Regarding the ongoing artillery attacks of Turkish troops, HPG gave the following details;

Hill Sivri post affiliated to Bezelê guard post, located at the border to Avashin area of Medya Defense Zones, shelled Erdewê village, Geliyê Herki, Hill Sor and Bedewê areas between 16.00 – 21.30 on October 6. The artillery fire started a fire in Erdewê village.

Troops at Oremar guard post have been shelling Martyr Gafur area since 21:00 on October 6.

Troops at Bilican guard post, located at the border to Zap region of Medya Defense Zones, conducted random bombardment on the surrounding areas between 15.30 – 16.00 on October 6.

Troops at Hill Sor guard post, located at the border to Metina area of Medya Defense Zones, shelled Hill Ortê area and surroundings between 08.00 – 10.30 on October 7.
