Eight Kurdish activists have been detained by Turkish police in Van’s Chaldiran province, on Monday.
Eight Kurdish activists have been detained by Turkish police in Van’s Chaldiran province, on Monday.
Turkish police raided several homes in Chaldiran district center, early on Monday. Peoples’ Democratic Party (HPD) local co-chair Ali Ihsan Tas, activists Hüseyin Gönül, Orhan Uzunyay, Gönül Uzunyay, Mehmet Faruk Trak and Mahsum Kaya were detained and taken to General Security Directorate.
Two more activists have been detained but no information could be gathered about their identity.
