Diyarbakır Bar Association Head Tahir Elçi who has been murdered in Amed's Sur district earlier today, will be laid to rest in Yenişehir Cemetery in Amed tomorrow.

DBP (Party of Democratic Regions) said the followings in a written statement about the funeral;

"To Diyarbakır Bar Association Head Mr. Tahir Elçi, who was murdered in a heinous attack after a press statement in Amed's Sur district, a farewell will be bid from the hospital to Koşu Yolu Park at 10:00 tomorrow (29 November 2015). A funeral will be held for human rights defender Tahir Elçi in front of the Koşu Yolu Park's Human Rights Monument at 11:00, after which he will be laid to rest in Yeniköy Cemetery."
