Encü: Police took revenge on civilians after clash with HPG members

HDP Şırnak deputy Ferhat Encü told that special operation teams terrorized the people after coming to the district center in the wake of last night's clashes with HPG guerrillas outside the district.

HDP Şırnak deputy Ferhat Encü who is currently in Şırnak's Beytüşşebap district where attacks by state forces continue, told that special operation teams terrorized the people after coming to the district center in the wake of last night's clashes with HPG guerrillas outside the district.

Encü said police teams opened gunfire on workplaces and houses in the town center despite there taking place no clashes there, while they also set a mosque on fire and hit a minaret of another mosque with rockets.

Şırnak MP Encü stated that a cannon ball fired by state forces hit a house and left 4 civilians from the same family dead.

Encü said police forces also attempted to set fire to the HDP building and workplaces in the town center, adding; “Beytüşşebap has turned into a total battle field. Police forces came to the district center after the clashes and took revenge on civilians.”

According to the HDP MP for Şırnak, inhabitants of the district wanted this savagery to be seen more than they felt anxious about the attacks targeting them.

Encü added that special operation teams also shot an ambulance driver Şehmuz Dursun dead after calling him the scene to take the casualties.
