Families of youths killed in Amed: The state murdered our children

“There is no law in Turkey. Yet, the state fascism will end and Kurds will win”, said families of Şiyar Salman and Şerdıl Cengiz, both of whom were killed by police in Sur uprising in Amed yesterday.

Families of Şiyar Salman and Şerdıl Cengiz, both of whom were killed by police in Sur uprising yesterday, stated that their children have been murdered by the state, saying; “There is no law in Turkey. Yet, the state fascism will end and Kurds will win”.

Bodies of Şerdıl Cengiz (21) and Şiyar Salman (19) who were shot dead by police in Koşuyolu area yesterday have been held at Diyarbakır Gazi Yaşargil Training and Research Hospital since yesterday.

Şerdıl's father Mehdi Cengiz stated that he doesn't even want to use the surname given to them by the state which -he underlined- has killed their youths and children.

Father Cengiz stressed that Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan is an ally of the ISIS, adding; "Erdoğan himself is the leader of ISIS. He has involved the ISIS in the fight against the Kurdish people and makes them murder the civilians."

Calling attention to the Kurdish people's demand for self-rule and independence, Cengiz said Kurds are saying enough to the atrocity of the state that kills them every day, adding; "There is no law in Turkey. Yet, the state fascism will end and Kurds will win. Kurdistan will be a graveyard to you."

Şerdıl's aunt Habibe Perişan said the followings as a reaction to the never-ending state repression, addressing her remarks to Turkish President Erdoğan; "We are humans, Erdoğan, and you are not? What do you want from us? It is enough now. Why are you murdering these youths?"

Şiyar Salman's father Müslüm Salman, who had difficulty expressing his pain, said; "May God dam those who caused the death of our children".

The two youths will be laid to rest in Yeniköy Cemetery today following a ceremony at Koşuyolu Park in Bağlar district where they were murdered yesterday.
