According to the statement by HPG, Kurdish guerrillas took action against Turkish arm units operating in Hakkari.

On August 30, Kurdish guerrillas targeted a team of soldiers around Sikere Sipi hill in Semdinli district. HPG guerrillas hit the soldiers from close range and several casualties were reported. The exact number of killed and wounded Is not clear.

After Turkish military units retreated from the area Turkish artillery bombed the are randomly.

Women’s Unified Revolution Movement guerrillas also targeted Turkish soldiers near Seraro road in rural Semdinli. At least 1 soldier was killed.

YUKSEKOVA

On the same day, Kurdish guerrillas hit Turkish military positions in Baye Hill, near Yuksekova, a district of Hakkari province. Another Turkish soldier was killed here.

After the action by guerrillas, Turkish artillery bombed the area and caused a forest fire.

CUKURCA

In Cukurca, HPG guerrillas targeted Turkish military positions near Koordine Hill this morning. A number of Turkish causalities are observed by the guerrillas but no clear information was provided.

SIRNAK
In Sirnak, HPG guerrillas took action against Turkish military units in Besta district. Local sources reported 1 Turkish soldier killed and another wounded.

HPG also took responsibility of the action which resulted in the destruction of heavy machinery used to construct road for Ilısu Dam.
