After clearing dozens of villages and hamlets during the operation to liberate Manbij that continues in its 30th day, Manbij Military Council combatants are making further advances towards the city center from western, eastern, southern and northern sides.
Combatants affiliated to the Council are advancing cautiously because of the ongoing presence of civilians in city center, and ISIS gangs using civilians as human shields and planting mines.
Street to street and house to house clashes are taking place between Manbij Military Council fighters and ISIS gangs.
Combatants have so far rescued thousands of civilians from ISIS gangs and enabled their access into liberated areas in addition to sharing their own bread, water and other basic supplies with them.
