Fire broke out in the village of Şapatan, 2 km to Hakkari’s Şemdinli district, which was placed under a 7 days curfew on August 27, Sunday, and where the Turkish army is conducting an operation.
The villagers have appealed to authorities to intervene the fire but no action has been taken, after which the villagers started efforts to put out the fire, which is growing, through their own means.
