Out of the 11 people who had been detained in house raids in Çukurca, 4 have been jailed.
11 people had been taken into custody as a result of house raids in the villages of Çığlı (Aşût) and Ormanlı (Zavite) in Hakkari’s Çukurca district on November 2nd.
Seven of the detainees were released while the other four were remanded in custody for allegedly “aiding and abetting the PKK”.
Those arrested, DBP (Democratic Regions’ Party) provincial assembly member Abdullah Ölmez, his nephews Neçirvan and Savaş Ölmez, and HDP (Peoples’ Democratic Party) Çukurca district administrator Dildar Kara, have been sent to Hakkari Closed Prison.
