Funeral of Zeki Şengalî is taking place in Shengal
The funeral of Yazidi Society Coordination Member Shengali, who lost his life as a result of Turkish airstrikes is taking place today.
A large crowd gathered at Martyr Dilgeş and Martyr Berxwedan Martyrs’ Cemetery to attend the funeral ceremony of Zeki Şengalî (İsmail Özden).
Mam Zeki, as Shengali was called with affection, was targeted in the attack carried out by the Turkish state with fighter jets on August 15, the 4th anniversary of the massacre the ISIS gangs carried out in Shengal’s Kocho village.
The Yazidi Society Coordination Member lost his life as a result of the airstrikes.
A convoy coming from Northern Syria to attend the funeral has experienced problems at the border, when Iraqi authorities denied the people permission to cross over.
