The HPG Press Center issued the following statement regarding the action: "Within the framework of the Bazên Zagrosê Revolutionary Campaign, on 15 September, at 08:40, a Reo-type vehicle belonging to the invading Turkish army, which left the Şkeftan outpost in the Şemzînan district of Colemêrg and was advancing towards the village of Katuna, was targeted and shot down by our YJA Star forces with a sabotage tactic."

The statement added: "In this action, in which the targeted vehicle was destroyed, 6 occupants were killed and 2 occupants were injured. After the action, the invading Turkish army removed its casualties from the area with ambulances and helicopters.

This successful action carried out by our YJA Star forces was carried out to avenge our 6 comrades who were martyred as a result of the cowardly attacks carried out by the invading Turkish state with chemical weapons in Girê Sor."
