Gerîla TV releases footage of actions in Xakurke
Gerîla TV published another footage of the ongoing resistance against the Turkish occupation forces in guerrilla-held Medya Defense Zones in southern Kurdistan (northern Iraq).
The online portal Gerîla TV released footage of sabotage actions against Turkish occupation forces in Xakurke region in Medya Defense Zones.
The footage shows sabotage attacks carried out by YJA Star (Free Women’s Troops) against the Turkish occupation forces on Girê Şehîd Qehreman on 9 and 10 August.
According to a statement by the People's Defence Forces (HPG), guerrillas struck the occupation forces who were trying to build new positions on a section of the hill. Strikes by the guerrillas left one soldier dead and two others injured. As a result of the actions by the guerrillas, the Turkish forces were forced to withdraw their operation in the area.
The actions were carried out in memory of commander Egîd Garzan who fell a martyr on 11 August 2020.
