Gerîla TV broadcast the footage of an action carried out by guerrillas against the Turkish army in the Girê Cûdî Resistance Area in the guerrilla-held Medya Defense Zones in southern Kurdistan (northern Iraq).

The HPG Press Center said in a statement about the action: “On 22 July, at 12:20, the invaders trying to position themselves in the Girê Cûdî Resistance Area were shot by our YJA Star mobile teams. One soldier was killed. At the same time, 1 surveillance camera system belonging to the invaders was destroyed by a sniper."

The statement added: "On 21 July, at 17:50, the military and life supplies that the invaders dropped from the helicopter were targeted and destroyed in the Girê Cûdî Resistance Area.

On 21 July, at 8:00, the invaders in the Girê Cûdî Resistance Area were targeted and hit by our YJA Star moving teams with medium automatic weapons.”
