Footage of the action in which guerrilla forces targeted the Turkish soldiers in Siirt’s Herekol region, has been released, with the following statement on the mentioned action:

“Following long surveillance, our forces launched an aggression from four sides on the Turkish military forces running an operation in Herekol region of Siirt province at 19:20 on July 26. 

 
In this operation, 5 emplacements were entirely destroyed and many others were damaged, while 9 soldiers were killed and several others were wounded. Equipment in the destroyed emplacements was found and seized.”
 
According to the statement, a guerrilla by the name of Agit got severely wounded during the aggression and lost his life later despite all the medical efforts.

 
Following the action, the Turkish army shelled the area with howitzer and mortar fire and transported the dead and wounded soldiers with Sikorsky type helicopters from the area.
