Gorran MPs: Everyone should stand against the Turkish attacks

Gorran Movement MPs condemned the Turkish state’s attack on Shengal and said: “Everybody should protest at the highest level. The South’s government shouldn’t stay silent against the attacks.”

Speaking to ANF, South Kurdistan's Gorran Movement MPs Şêrko Heme Emin and Münire Osman condemned the Turkish state’s attacks on Rojava and Shengal.

EMİN: WE MUST PROTEST AND TAKE PRECAUTIONS

Şêrko Heme Emin said: “We do not accept any attempts violating Southern Kurdistan’s borders and sovereignty. The Southern Kurdistan government certainly needs to show a stance against these attacks. And they should take necessary precautions so attacks like this don’t happen again.”

Emin pointed out that the Turkish state dared to attack Shengal because their attacks on Southern Kurdistan up to date weren’t responded to appropriately and called on everybody to get into action against the attacks.

OSMAN: ALL POWERS AND THE PEOPLE SHOULD TAKE A STANCE

Münire Osman said: “When the Turkish state attacked Southern Kurdistan territory countless times in the past, we should have protested stronger. We as the Gorran Movement strongly condemn the attack on Shengal. As a movement, we also declared our protest in a joint statement with PUK and Yekgirtu Islam. We do not accept these attacks.

All political powers and all of the Kurdish people should stand against these attacks. At the same time, international powers should also take the necessary precautions. They need to have a serious stance against this.”
