Governor of Şırnak tours villages for AKP, threatens people

Şırnak Governor Mehmet Aktaş is visiting the villages of Cizre and telling the people to vote for the AKP.

Ahead of the forced parliamentary and presidential elections scheduled for June 24, AKP-MHP regime is illegally using all opportunities of the state amid a lack of equal circumstances.

İbrahim Halil Erkan, Şırnak provincial chairman of the ruling AKP (Justice and Development Party) and military officials, as well as the Governor of Şırnak, Mehmet Aktaş, are touring the villages asking for votes for the AKP. In this framework, the Governor is visiting villages of Şırnak, Uludere, Cizre, Güçlükonak and Silopi.

The Governor visited the village of Kurtuluş in Şırnak’s Cizre district following a siege by Turkish security forces. The governor promised the people that the long lasting substructure issue will be resolved in the event that they vote for the AKP. According to villagers, Aktaş also promised that a school will be constructed in the village, and that people will be able to get the deeds of their lands in 4 months should they cast their votes for AKP.

During previous visits to villages, Aktaş told the people; “There will be no peace here if you vote for the HDP. Your problems will be solved if you vote for the AKP.”

Aktaş also called for support for the AKP during a meeting with executives from Cizre Chamber of Commerce and Industry, saying “Our target is 40 percent. We can triumph all together.”
