Taken over by the fear of defeat, the AKP-MHP are using all state institutions as devices for oppression on the way to June 24.
In reference to DBP (Democratic Regions Party) members, Van Governor Zorluoğlu, who had received criticism last month for openly asking for votes for the AKP in the Erçek district, said: “We will not hand this city to them again.”
Governor Murat Zorluoğlu met with village headmen in a counsel and iftar (fast-breaking dinner) meet-up. Zorluoğlu ordered the headmen to work harder on the way to the elections, and mentioned the municipality they usurped as they “took over in 2016”.
Zorluoğlu said: “We will not hand this city over to them, to terror, again. So, I’m expecting full support from all our headmen.”
