Group of internationalists not allowed to reach Shengal
A group of internationalists who wanted to go to Shengal to mark the 10th anniversary of the genocide committed by the Islamic State on 3 August 2014 were blocked at the entrance to Tal Afar.
A group of internationalists who wanted to go to Shengal to mark the 10th anniversary of the genocide committed by the Islamic State on 3 August 2014 were blocked at the entrance to Tal Afar.
A delegation of internationalists from Switzerland, Germany, Italy and Rojava headed to Shengal to follow the events planned to be held on the 10th anniversary of the genocide carried out by the Islamic State on 3 August 2014.
The internationalists also wanted to take the opportunity to implement some of their humanitarian projects. However, they were stopped at a checkpoint at the entrance to Tal Afar.
The delegation asked the authorities to let them through, yet no permission was given on Tuesday.
