Guerillas carry out sabotage action in Mardin

HPG/YJA Star guerillas carried out a sabotage action against a bus carrying special operations police officers from Nusaybin to Amed to commemorate resistance martyrs. Tens of officers died during the action.

HPG Media Center announced that guerillas carried out a sabotage action in Mardin to retaliate against the Turkish state’s fascist attacks in Kurdistan and to commemorate resistance martyrs. HPG stated that guerillas carried out a sabotage action near the villages of Jor and Xanika Jêr in Mardin’s Mazıdağı district against a bus carrying special operations police officers from Nusaybin to Amed at 13:10 on April 23. HPG stated that tens of officers died during the action, and the Turkish army used 6 ambulances and 4 Skorsky helicopters to evacuate its dead and injured forces. HPG noted that state forces closed the road near the action until 18:00, and the guerillas carried out the attack to commemorate resistance fighters martyred in Amed and Nusaybin.

OPERATION IN LİCE CONTINUES

HPG stated that the Turkish army operation that began near the Martyr Navdar area of Amed’s Lice district on April 23 continues, and violent clashes take place as warplanes bombard the region.

HPG added that state forces accompanied by armored vehicles launched an operation on the road between Amed and Bingöl on April 23.

WARPLANES BOMBARDED HEFTANİN

HPG Media Center noted that Turkish warplanes bombarded the Dola Martyr Delila and Keşan villages located in the Heftanin region of Medya Defense Zones between 00:00 and 02:00 on April 23.

ACTION AGAINST SOLDIERS IN OREMAR

Lastly, HPG stated that guerillas carried out an action with heavy weaponry against the soldiers moving through Martyr Zerdeşt and Martyr Rahime hills located in the Oremar region of Hakkari’s Yüksekova district at 09:00 on April 24. The numbers of dead and injured soldiers have not yet been clarified.
