Guerrilla actions in Zap leave 9 Turkish soldiers dead
The invasion attacks of the Turkish army on the Zap area bordering Çukurca are still ongoing. Guerrilla forces response with actions left 9 Turkish soldiers dead.
The Turkish military's aggressions aimed to invade some land in the Zap area on the border to Çukurca district of Hakkari continue. Guerrilla forces deliver heavy blows to the Turkish military with their actions.
According to firsthand accounts from ANF journalist on-site, two positions of the Turkish troops on the Martyr Xelîl hill in Zap region have been completely destroyed as a result of the actions carried out by the guerrillas at 04:00 o'clock this morning. Six Turkish soldiers in those positions have been killed. Some other positions were also damaged.
Two more soldiers have been killed following the guerrilla actions at the Bijne hill.
A targeted action by guerrillas left another soldier dead at the Martyr Munzur hill at 09:00 o'clock in the morning.
The Turkish troops in nearby military bases resorted to heavy shelling on the whole area.
The People's Defense Forces (HPG) has not issued an official statement on their actions yet.
