The attacks of the Turkish state against Heftanin continue. Guerrilla Hêjar Zozan, one of the commanders fighting in the Heftanin spoke to ANF about the resistance of the HPG and YJA Star guerrillas.

Commander Hêjar Zozan said that a great war has been going on in Heftanin for 5 months and added that guerrillas are fighting in all the hills where the enemy tried to enter. Commander Zozan pointed out that the Turkish army was trying to consolidate its place in Heftanin and added: "The Turkish army withdrew its soldiers after suffering heavy blows, and put forward the village guards and mercenaries. The enemy's invasion attempts were foiled by the guerrilla. The enemy tried different techniques and methods but was unsuccessful.”

Guerrilla Zozan continued: “The stance of the martyrs gave us strength. The enemy has been hit with heavy blows. We must further increase our actions. The Turkish state always says, ‘We will end them.’ But everyone knows it's not true. Even if we all fall as martyrs, the PKK will survive. Because the PKK was founded on a historical resistance.”

Commenting on the isolation of Kurdish people's leader Abdullah Öcalan, guerrilla Zozan said: "A heavy isolation is imposed to our Leader. No matter how hard we resist, it is not enough for the isolation to end. The guerrilla and the people should bring this struggle at a higher level. Like in Heftanin a great spirit of resistance has emerged against the invasion operations in Turkey, this spirit of resistance must be kept alive everywhere and reach the top. For this everyone, wherever they are, should join the "Stop Isolation, Fascism and Occupation; Time to Ensure Freedom” campaign.
