HPG and YJA Star guerrillas in Medya Defense Zones continue planting saplings and trees to mark Kurdish People's Leader Abdullah Öcalan's birthday.

The celebration started with one minute's silence in memory of all those martyred in the freedom struggle. PAJK executive Ronahi Serhat made a speech on the importance of Öcalan's birthday and struggle, saying that;

"The birthday of our Leader, April 4, is also the birthday of our will, identity, existence, women and the Kurdish people. I celebrate April 4 for all of us."

The celebration continued with music performances accompanied by Kurdish traditional dance halay.
