People’s Defense Forces Press Office (HPG-BIM) released a statement giving information about the most recent actions carried out by guerrillas against the Turkish army in Kurdistan territory.
The statement said the following;
“Within the scope of the Martyr Pîroz and Martyr Revolutionary Campaign, on August 12, at 07.00, our forces carried out an action against the soldiers positioned on the Siser hill in the Çarçella area of Hakkari’s Gever (Yüksekova) district.
In this action where a container on the hill was targeted the container was effectively hit and destroyed, and the number of dead and wounded soldiers could not be determined.
Within the scope of the Martyr Delal Amed and Besta Martyrs Revolutionary Campaign, on August 11, at 06.30, our forces carried out an action against a Sikorsy-type helicopter flying over the Çemê Xeçkê area in Şırnak’s Qıleban district. The helicopter was effectively hit and forced to withdraw from the area.
