Guerrillas hit Turkish soldiers on operation: At least 21 killed

11 soldiers of the Turkish army were killed in Barzan region in Southern Kurdistan and 10 others in Cilo region in Northern Kurdistan.

Guerrilla actions continue against the Turkish troops that engage in invasion attempts on Southern and Northern Kurdistan border line.

BARZAN

According to ANF reporters on the ground, guerrillas hit the Turkish soldiers on Girê Botinî hill in Barzan region of Southern Kurdistan at 05:00 Sunday morning. 11 soldiers were killed and many others were wounded in the action.

The air strikes launched by Turkish jets following the action are ongoing, having targeted the hamlet of Mam Reş in Avashin region.

CİLO

On the other hand, guerrillas also hit the Turkish soldiers on operation in Oremar and Sümbül regions in the countryside of Hakkari countryside.

An action by guerrillas targeted the Perixane outpost in Cilo region at around 18:00 Sunday evening, leaving at least 10 soldiers dead and several emplacements destroyed.

Reports suggest that contact has been lost with two guerrillas during the clashes in this region.

ÇUKURCA

At around 11:00 Sunday morning, guerrillas carried out an action on an outpost in Çukurca district of Hakkari and many rockets hit the outpost building.

In the meantime, Turkish warplanes bombed Xeregol region in Çukurca at around 23:00 Sunday night.
