Guerrillas in Zagros say the Turkish army could not achieve what it wanted

The guerrillas in the region of Zagros said that the Turkish army, which has been continuing its invasion attacks for a year, could not get what it wanted because of their resistance.

Guerrilla Berfîn Kendal underlined that the Turkish army was held off by the comradeship network that the guerrillas knitted with unbreakable bonds and said: "We will drive the fascist enemy out of these lands."

Speaking to ANF, guerrilla Berfin Kendal said that the Turkish state aimed to eliminate the guerrillas by occupying the areas of Metina, Avaşîn and Zap on 23 April 2021 with new war methods, as well as with all its power and technology. Noting that this calculation was foiled by the guerrillas and that they responded with tremendous resistance, Kendal said: “The guerrillas are a self-sacrificing force. They are a force that has proven loyalty to the people, leadership and country. The guerrillas do not recognize the difficulties."

The resistance beat it all

Berfîn Kendal said that the Turkish army first wanted to occupy Küçük Cilo in a short time, but realized that it was mistaken because of the guerrilla resistance, and continued: “The network of comradeship that the guerrillas knitted with unbreakable bonds made it impossible for the enemy to break through. The spirit of sacrifice developed in the person of the martyrs, and this spirit did not give way to the enemy. It was a year with plenty of action, we gained great experience, we achieved results. We will follow the self-sacrificing spirit created by our leading comrades. We will expel the fascist enemy from these lands.”

The enemy did not get what it wanted

Guerrilla Erdal Besta stated that the plan to liquidate the guerrillas with the invasion attacks was foiled by their historical resistance and added: "The enemy wanted to achieve a result with all banned weapons and by mobilizing all their forces, but could not achieve any result thanks to the resistance of the guerrillas."

Emphasizing that they are based on the line of resistance and victory, Besta said: “It is a great honour and pride for us that our comrades responded to the enemy's calls for surrender with the phrase 'resistance, resistance, resistance'. They showed us the way to success. A year passed. We promised our comrades to follow their line. We will carry the resistance to victory.”
