Guerrillas shot down 10 Turkish helicopters in four months

At least 10 helicopters have been shot down in the guerrilla-controlled areas since the beginning of the new invasion attacks of the Turkish state launched in April.

HPG guerrillas reported that they had shot down three helicopters since the beginning of September.

Most recently, a Sikorsky helicopter was shot down in the Amadiya Resistance Area on the night of September 4. Two more Turkish helicopters were shot down on September 2 and 3.

According to the guerrilla sources, at least 10 helicopters have been shot down since last April when Turkey launched a new invasion attack on the guerrilla-held Medya Defense Zones in southern Kurdistan (northern Iraq).

According to the information based on the HPG Press Centre’s statements, 2 helicopters were shot down in Şikefta Birîndara, 2 helicopters in Şehîd Fedekar, 2 helicopters in Girê Amediyê, 1 helicopter in Şehîd Şahin, 1 helicopter in Girê Hakkarî, 1 helicopter in Girê FM and helicopter in Girê Cûdî.
