Gunfight among Turkish soldiers on an operation in Hizan

Turkish soldiers on an operation in Hizan as part of the genocidal campaign have opened fire on each other. One soldier was wounded.

As Turkish soldiers suffer heavy blows from the guerilla, they are also harming themselves.

The operation launched yesterday by the Turkish army continues in Yaylacık (Akunüs), Çalışkanlar (Kekulan), Yolbilen (Xulebir) and Sarıtaş (Huzera) villages and their hamlets in Bitlis city’s Hizan district. Reports say a gunfight broke out among soldiers during the operation and one soldier was wounded. Local sources say the soldiers searched every house in Yaylacı village and its hamlet Bilgili (Haret) and Yolbilen village as part of the operation and prevented the people from leaving their homes since yesterday.

Soldiers positioned in gardens and on rooftops in Yaylacik village started to fight among themselves yesterday evening. One soldier was reported to have been shot in the skirmish.

Soldiers were deployed with 12 helicopters in the village and it is under a blockade. In the region, the genocidal operation continues with hundreds of soldiers and village guards.
