DBP Ömerli district co-chairs Mahmut Özdemir and Esma Yılmaz, and HDP district co-chair Elmas Demircan were remanded in custody and jailed on alleged charges of “spreading propaganda for a terrorist organisation”.
DBP (Party of Democratic Regions) and HDP (Peoples' Democratic Party) co-chairs in Ömerli district of Mardin had been taken into custody as a result of house raids 2 days ago.
DBP district co-chairs Mahmut Özdemir and Esma Yılmaz, and HDP district co-chair Elmas Demircan were referred to a court after giving their statements at the prosecutor's office.
