HDP-DBP delegation on their way to Nusaybin before heading to Cizre

A delegation from the Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP) and Party of Democratic Regions (DBP) has left for Mardin's Nusaybin district before going to Cizre district of Şırnak.
The delegation is made up of HDP co-chair Selahattin Demirtaş, DBP co-chair Kamuran Yüksek, HDP deputies Burcu Çelik Özkan and Ali Atalan, Mardin Metropolitan Municipality co-mayors Ahmet Türk and Februniye Akyol Akay, and Diyarbakır Metropolitan Municipality co-mayor Gültan Kışanak.
The HDP-DBP delegation will first visit the vigil of resistance ongoing in Nusaybin for two weeks, after which they will go to Cizre to reach the basement where dozens of people remain trapped for 12 days, from whom no news has been received for the past 4 days.
In the meantime, thousands have gathered outside the Mitanni Cultural Centre in Nusaybin. More people are joining the crowd before the arrival of the HDP-DBP delegation.
