HDP flags removed in Silvan

In Amed’s Silvan district, municipal workers removed the HDP flags on the grounds that “there is no election office on that street”.

Municipal workers accompanied by police forces removed the flags of the HDP (Peoples’ Democratic Party) hung at Azizoğlu Street in Silvan district of Amed (Diyarbakır) on the grounds that “there is no election office on the street”.

Despite the public reaction, all the HDP flags were brought down by the municipal workers, while the AKP flags hung at the same street were not touched.

HDP flags were similarly removed in Dersim province and Van’s Başkale district for various fabricated reasons yesterday.
