HDP Şırnak MP Leyla Birlik has been detained in her house in Şırnak city.
Police detained Peoples’ Democratic Party (HDP) deputy for Şırnak, Leyla Birlik in her house in Şırnak city early Tuesday morning.
Birlik was taken to Şırnak Courthouse due to an arrest warrant issued for her in the scope of a lawsuit in which she is accused of “insulting Turkish President Tayyip Erdoğan”.
She was released at noon after giving her testimony at court.
Birlik had been arrested on 4 November 2016 due to an investigation of Şırnak Chief Public Prosecutor, and released following the first hearing on 4 January 2017.
