Peoples’ Democratic Party (HDP) co-chair Pervin Buldan and party members visited Hakkari on Monday.
Buldan underlined that the ongoing imprisonment of Hakkari HDP deputy Leyla Güven is illegitimate and in fact represents the imprisonment of the will of the people of Hakkari.
HDP Van deputies Muazzez Orhan, Murat Sarısaç, Tayip Temel, HDP Mardin deputy Ebru Günay and HDP Hakkari deputy Sait Dede have visited Hakkari after the three-days camp in Van.
They accompanied HDP co-chair Pervin Buldan, who first visited the Democratic Regions Party (DBP) and chatted with the public for a while.
After visiting shopkeepers, Buldan talked to the press about her visit.
Buldan stated that HDP Hakkari deputy Leyla Güven, who has been held hostage in prison, is unfairly detained.
She said that the Hakkari people's choice, their will is actually in prison in the person of their deputy and called for her release.
