The co-presidents of HDP and its affiliates, Central Executive Committee members and parliamentarians will attend the Newroz celebration in Cizre on March 22.

In its written statement, the HDP Central Executive Committee recalled the pain recently experienced in Cizre where 5 curfews had been taking place for 94 days since December 14, 2015. Committee members noted that 269 people lost their lives in the clashes in Cizre since July 2015, and the people of Cizre have been resisting and trying to survive the atrocities in the district. According to committee members, this situation prevents a cheerful celebration of Newroz.

'LETS CREATE A NEW LIFE AGAINST OPPRESSION’

HDP Central Executive Committee members stated that they would share the pain of Cizre’s residents and HDP officials would participate in the Newroz celebration in the district. Lastly, committee members invited everyone to join the Newroz celebration in Cizre and create a new life against oppression.
