Heavy clashes and bombardment in the rural areas of Amed
Following yesterday's airstrike and bombardment of Turkish army in the rural areas of Amed's Lice district, heavy clashes have erupted in Sîsê area.
Attacks of Turkish military continue in the wake of the imposition of a curfew in 39 villages in Lice, Kocaköy and Hazro districts of Amed.
Several locations in the mentioned territory were bombed by Turkish warplanes and artillery, and heavy clashes are taking place in the Sîsê area where a cemetery of HPG guerrillas is located. Sounds of explosions can be heard from the area amid an ongoing armed confrontation. Smoke is rising from several other locations.
In the meantime, the civilians in Derxus and Sisê villages which witness violent clashes, cannot be reached.
On the other hand, Turkish jets have shelled many locations in the operation area between 04.00-06.00 this morning in the wake of the aerial bombardment of yesterday evening and last night targeting the areas of Dolunay Zengê, Licok (Çavundur) and Sisê (Yolçatı).
Locals are denied access to the district center by Turkish soldiers.
