Heyva Sor grants about 80 thousand Euros in aid to Rojhilat

The Heyva Sor a Kurdistanê (Kurdish Red Crescent) announced the outcomes of its humanitarian campaign to support the relatives of those killed and the injured during the "Jin, Jiyan, Azadi" protests in East Kurdistan (Rojhilat).

Heyva Sor a Kurdistanê’s Rojhilat Representation launched the "Rojhilat is not alone" campaign to support the families of those who lost their lives or were injured during the popular movement sparked by the murder of Mahsa Amini by the morality police in Tehran in September 2022.

The Heyva Sor said that the Khoy-centred earthquake unfortunately increased the suffering of the Kurdish people while this campaign was being carried out. It added that philanthropic groups, pro-freedom individuals and patriots abroad contributed to the campaign with great responsibility.

The Heyva Sor announced that a total of 77 thousand 750 euros had been granted to the victims of the popular protests and the Khoy earthquake.

The Heyva Sor revealed that the campaign had ended and 98 injured persons, 53 families of martyrs, 89 disabled persons and 100 families who were victims of the Khoy earthquake enjoyed the grants.

A statement said that "the Heyva Sor a Kurdistanê is a national organization which fulfils its humanitarian and national duties for the whole of Kurdistan."
