House raids in Kirkuk after Hashd al-Shaabi invasion

According to local sources Hashd al-Shaabi forces have conducted house raids in Kurdish neighbourhoods of the Kirkuk city in the wake of their invasion on Monday.
In Hesen neighbourhood, Kurdish politicians' houses were targeted by the Shite milita. Hashd al-Shaabi members checked every house in the neighbourhood and searched for Kurdish politicians and notables.
It is also reported that some Turkmen members of Hashd al-Shaabi set Tevgara Azadi (Freedom Movement) headquarters in Kirkuk on fire.
Hashd al-Shaabi members also raided houses in the mainly Kurdish Rehimava and Kerema neighbourhoods. Local residents report that the Shite militia broke the doors of some houses and searched entire neighbourhoods. There are reports of ill-treatment during searches in Kurdish political party executives’ houses and party offices.
Kirkuk was invaded by the Iraqi army and Shite militia Hashd al-Shaabi (Popular Mobilization Units) on Monday. The militias immediately started to conduct searches in Kurdish neighbourhoods.
